I have recently had the privilege of working with these talented and amazing local artists - I just love getting a "sneak peek" on new work to be displayed in upcoming exhibits and open studio tours! With the artists' permission, I'm sharing my favorite pieces with you here. Look for all of them soon at the Columbia Gorge Art Center's Art Gallery and the Gorge Artists' Open Studios on May 2nd and 3rd, 2010.
Photographing an artist's work is more than mere documentation - I consider it a collaboration with the artist to portray that particular piece as they themselves see it. (Hope that doesn't sound too "artsy-fartsy", but it's the truth! lol...) Artists, if you're reading this, you don't have to go to Portland to have your work professionally photographed or settle for mere snapshots of your art!
